Regulations for the Red Cross and Red Crescent Prize for Peace and Humanity

The prize was instituted by the Council of Delegates in 1987 (Rio de Janeiro, 27 November 1987, Resolution 1) and the choice of its recipients is guided by the Regulations adopted subsequently by the Standing Commission.The Regulations were revised in 2022 by the Council of Delegates
(Geneva, 22-23 June 2022, Resolution 3).

These Regulations are supplemented by the
Guidelines of the Standing Commission for awarding the Henry Dunant Medal and the Prize for Peace and Humanity adopted on 9 December 2020.
